So you, if you're reading this, are probably Watching me. Therefore, you may or may not be a fan of the paintings and drawings I do. And if you are, you've probably noticed that I haven't posted in a few months. Or not. Either way, I just wanted to post something to show that I haven't died in some freak accident or anything.
YOU SEE, I have been in a rut. I don't mean that I've had creativity block. Well I have. But along with that, I've been in a big rut.
I think life kind of works in hills in valleys. Everyone has their ups and downs, and sometimes even their flat lines. Well, this has been a pretty big valley.
I think it all started in about May or so. Around that time, I lost touch with two close friends of mine. And if you know me, you know that I'm not exactly a social butterfly, so I went through some pretty rough bouts of loneliness.
In the midst of this, two relatives of mine died, and right after that I started college and was quickly overwhelmed, so I sort of "postponed" it.
Well the summer was long and boring, and I spent most of it in depression.
Now, I'm in the classic "all of my friends are leaving for college and I'm stuck back home because I don't know what I want to do with my life" scenario.
I've been constantly worrying about what I want to do when I grow up, and that I'll end up one of those people that are in their 3rd year of college and still have no idea what they want to do.
But, on the other side of it, I'm slowly getting rid of the loneliness. I'm made a few new friends and gotten back in touch with one of the earlier mentioned friends. Although finding out that someone that you saw as one of your nearest and dearest friends could just drop your relationship like a sack of rocks, I'm starting to get over it.
I've always seen myself as sort of a "loner", but the the thing about that is when I was actually alone, it was more like "..Well this really sucks."
So. Value your friendships. Because your friend could secretly be a jerk that doesn't like you. That's the moral of the story.
Anyway, I just wanted to give the people who actually like what I do a bit of an explanation. So. Good day.
